There was a benefit basketball game held for
Chief Jim Kurycki and Maria Kurycki. The
annual basketball game, put on by the
Churchville Lions Club, benefits a family in
the community who have been dealing with a
hard time. Maria has been battling cancer
for 6 years now so this year the Lions
decided to host the basketball benefit to
them. The turn out was great and fun was

Churchville Fire Dept. had their first
structure fire of the year. The call came in on
Ridgefield Dr. Churchville base
acknowledged the call with a header showing
from the firehouse. 4C-42 came on location
with flames coming from the rear second
story of the house. Mutual aid was called
from Clifton, Brockport, Spencerport, Chili,
and Bergen. Two firefighters were sent to the
hospital for injuries sustained from the fire,
both have made recoveries.
